Guy Rushton - Naive Sculpture

Naive or caricature sculpture - a gentle look at people's eccentricities, subjects are mainly sporting and outdoor pursuits because they are inspired by my friends and neighbours.

Glazed white earthenware lends strength to the caricatures by representing their full colour.

Subjects covered include:

  • cricket - bowlers, batsmen,umpires
  • rugby - drop kick, tackle
  • hunting - huntsman, mounted huntsman
  • polo - the paying player
